The GDT and Sony Launch a Strategic Partnership

This remarkable collaboration aims to elevate wildlife photography to an entirely new level by uniting the GDT's expertise in photography with Sony’s leading innovations in camera technology.

With over 50 years of history and more than 2,200 members across Germany and 27 other countries, the German Society for Nature Photography (GDT) is internationally well-connected and ranks among the world’s most renowned and influential photography associations. The GDT board is exceedingly pleased to announce a strategic partnership with Sony Europe B.V.

Within the framework of this partnership, exclusive workshops led by experienced photographers will provide participants the opportunity to further develop their skills and benefit from cutting-edge camera equipment. A notable feature of this cooperation is the direct exchange between the GDT community and Sony. Feedback and ideas from workshop participants will feed directly into Sony’s product development, ensuring an even closer alignment with the requirements of wildlife photography.

In an official statement, GDT president Stephan Fürnrohr emphasised: “Many of the GDT’s activities would be unthinkable without the support of our partners and sponsors – we are therefore extremely pleased about this new partnership with Sony. We see ourselves as a bridge between our members and a well-established manufacturer with a strong commitment to the interests of the photography community –  and we look forward to a productive dialogue as well as exciting joint activities.”

Photography enthusiasts can thus look forward to inspiring events, hands-on workshops, and the opportunity to actively contribute to future developments in wildlife photography.
