Obituary on the death of Hansgeorg Arndt
On 29 November this year, Hansgeorg Arndt passed away at the age of 87, surrounded by his family. He was one of the nine photographers who founded the GDT in Hellenthal in April 1971. Throughout his life, Hansgeorg Arndt was fascinated by the nature of Scandinavia. He passed this love of the north on to his two sons and his grandchildren. He travelled with his camera until his death, and at the age of 85 he was able to travel to Spitsbergen once again. His pictures from the high latitudes will remain in our memories!
